Can you design the best Off-Grid System?

If you are a Solar Installer that wants to brush up your skills, we have a challenge for you. On the 5th of May 2021 DPA Solar gave a training workshop at the SEIA VIC Conference in Ballarat. In this workshop we gave the delegates an opportunity to design 2 systems. The first was an On-Grid and the second an Off-Grid system. There were 2 sessions and in each session the delegates were split into 4 groups.

OFF-GRID HOME – SYSTEM DESIGN AND LAYOUT

TASKS
1. With the information below, size & select hardware items and quantities of each.
2. Layout these items on the white board to meet/satisfy AS 5139.
3. Write on the white board the 4 or 5 main issues needed to meet AS 5139.
Include which category your equipment comes under: 4, 5 or 6.
One group will present these main issues to the group. (quick 2-minute presentation)
