DPA Solar is a small and dynamic wholesale/distribution company with a team of 8 people. We support and sell solar and battery storage equipment to off-grid electricians, major electrical wholesalers and industry partners. We represent global leading brands such as Selectronic, Schneider Electric, Victron, Outback, SimpliPhi Power, Fronius, PowerPlus Energy, Discover and Pylontech.
Because we’re a small team we’re looking for someone who is willing to help with all aspects of our business from answering technical questions, pre-sales support and processing order to sometimes helping out in the warehouse.
The role includes a focus on internal customer support plus broader responsibilities across the business. We’re seeking a candidate looking for a multi-tasking role in a growing dynamic industry. We are currently based in Port Melbourne and we require the candidate to predominantly work at the office, not working remotely.
You will receive hands-on training in-house plus the chance to attend external industry training sessions.

Manage technical trouble shooting and fault finding reports from the field for our off-grid inverter/charger battery systems. Developing and managing DPA’s repair centre facility.
Using our Unleashed computer system to manage orders and track customer details.
Taking general enquiry phone calls (Price & Availability), working through equipment/order parts requirements
Helping out in the warehouse, providing support to the warehouse manager, creating picking lists, checking orders etc
Promptly entering customer orders that are either: received online, via email and over the phone, checking availability and confirming by email
Creating formal quotes and converting them to invoices
Utilising Xero & Unleashed for order processing and Microsoft Word, MS Excel as required
Assistance with, and presence at trade shows
Updating of information in company computer systems
Candidates may have a background in solar/battery storage or similar renewable energy field, may have TAFE or university qualifications in electronics/electrical or Renewable Energy
Candidates must be self-starting, self-managed, able to manage their own deadlines, KPI’s
A forklift and/or car driver’s license may be useful but not mandatory
Desirable skills and attributes
Strong interpersonal skills, computer skills, technical sales and an understanding of solar and battery storage technologies

Microsoft skills: Outlook, Word, Excel
Ability to quickly learn computer ERP systems such as Xero and Unleashed (current experience in these programs is not necessary but experience with similar programs is useful)
Other – please outline evidence of understanding of how to enter settings into other computer equipment such as solar inverters, or other electronic equipment
4 SALES EXPERIENCE (not mandatory)

Ability to manage a range of tasks that could include creating quotes or invoices, through to resolving customer problems
