During the All-Energy conference held on October 25th and 26th, 2023, DPA Solar had the privilege of hosting two industry experts from Discover Energy Systems in Canada. Brendon Sauer, the President of Discover Energy Systems, and Derek Pettingale, the Vice President, provided valuable insights into their latest product, the Discover AES Rack Mount LiFePO4 Batteries.
These rack mount modules, known as Discover AES Rack Mount Modules 48-48-5120 – 900-0062, are manufactured using the highest-grade cobalt-free LiFePO4 cells. This choice of material ensures that the batteries are safe, reliable, and have a long lifespan. One of the key features of these modules is the high-current GEN-4 BMS, which delivers superior peak power to support demanding loads. Additionally, the batteries have lightning-fast 1C charge and discharge rates. This means that you can use a 5kW inverter per battery bank, allowing you to install fewer batteries per system.
The Discover AES Rack Mount batteries are designed to be rapidly installed energy storage systems that are easy to configure for various applications, including residential off-grid solar, whole-home backup power, and microgrids. By networking the AES Rack Mount with the LYNK II Gateway, you can achieve plug-and-play closed-loop communication with industry-leading hybrid inverters. This communication enhances charging performance and efficiency significantly.
The sessions hosted by DPA Solar during the All-Energy conference were attended by several of our customers, including solar installers and electrical wholesalers. These customers showed great interest in Discover Energy Systems’ new storage solutions. Moreover, the AES Rack Mount batteries can be seamlessly integrated into the AES Slimline pre-wired enclosure, which has the capacity to hold up to 6 batteries, providing a total of 30kWh of usable lithium energy!
